Education

A key mission of the Michigan Wheat Program is providing educational opportunities for the state’s wheat farmers, especially in regard to production and yield.

The “Production Articles” tab gives farmers pertinent information on wheat production research, much of it funded by the check-off program.

Because farmers like to kick the tires, the Michigan Wheat Program organizes two annual events: A Summer Field Day each June, as well as a Winter Annual Meeting in March.  Pull down the Previous Events tab under Education and click on the event you’re interested in to see the full itinerary and access the presentations, handouts and videos from it.

The Michigan Wheat Program co-sponsors and participates in many other educational programs for row crop farmers in Michigan.
